PAE General Assembly 2018
Our upcoming event, “Pain Alliance Europe’s Days” – 19-20 June 2018 – will include a series of events based on the core projects of the PAE and will reunite its members for the Pain Alliance Europe’s General Assembly 2018.
On the 19th June, PAE members who have accepted our invitation will take part in a workshop designed to enhance collaboration among members and improve our reach across Europe. The delegates will be brought into the world of the “Brussels Bubble”, which will bring some light into the what-seems-to-be-complicated flow of actions regarding communication with the EU decision-makers.
We will then discuss PAE’s further involvement with the Societal Impact of Pain Platform activities. Invited partners will encourage the delegates to participate to the new actions SIP is preparing in order to reach its 2018 objectives. These are the creation of national SIP platforms and continuing discussions with stakeholders at national level in order to capitalise on the success of the platform on the EU stage.
This discussion will include a distinct part dedicated to the realisation of the SIP Thematic Network target objective, a Joint Statement on the societal impact of pain and a better pain management policy.
The next day our eyes will turn to the European Parliament. A new session of the MEP Interest Group on Brain, Mind, and Pain, hosted by MEP Danuta Jazłowiecka and attended by specialists and representatives of the research units, pharma companies and EU Commission together with representatives of patients and MEP co-chairs of the MEP Interest group, will debate the topic:
“Optimising Patient Relevant Outcome Measures for sustainable healthcare systems and strong economies”
You may download the full agenda of the meeting here.
The morning meeting will equally introduce the final event of the Brain, Mind, and Pain Grant
This is an initiative of Pain Alliance Europe and Grünenthal. At lunch, at the Hotel Leopold we will be introduced to the candidates, sponsors, specialists and members of the Jury for the BMP Grant Ceremony. Then the winner(s) will be announced – so we will keep maximum going until the last minute.
PAE Board is looking forward to welcoming you to these events!
